“Testimonial for Manor Homes Energy Star…” —
“I was very impressed with the presentation from Energy Star and being able to tour Northwest Energy Star Manor Home Communities. Seeing the visual and actual application and installation of home framing and installation was very imformative. I applaud Manor Homes because there are many significant and important reasons to build a Manor Home with an Energy Star designation.
The largest benefit to the home buyer is an energy efficient home for years to come, saving the home owner utility costs and providing a comfortable home environment. The Energy Star home is issued a certification by a third party according to applied building science related to specific standards and protocols and backed by the EPA.
The Energy Star Manor Home certification and performance testing quantifies the added value to the home owner while the their family lives there and when the home resells. Energy efficiency related to the building envelope, energy distribution, equipment, lighting and appliances all combine to save 10-15% and up to 50% of energy use. Overall, this is a great thing for the owner/consumer, saving energy and utility costs and having a comfortable environment while doing it.”

“Realtor keeps up on new information…” —
“I really enjoyed the attending the Energy Star class hosted by Manor Homes. As the buying agent I assisted clients in purchasing their new energy wise home with Manor.
As a graduate of Earth Advantage Star Program in conjunction with Energy Star and PGE in Oregon, I like to keep up on new information and it is fun to see how different presenters offer information in different formats. This program did not disappoint and I took new information away that I had not considered.
At this presentation I learned it is not only the kinds and variety of materials that are used to make a home energy efficient, but the quality and, most importantly, the skill of the installers and their knowledge. So whether it is a new home or an older home that is being upgraded for more energy efficiency, check out the quality of the company and trades people that actually do the work.”

“Your organization consists of an unselfish, flexible, service-oriented team of folks that treats customers like family…” —
“I am compelled to write this letter to you [the partners of Manor Homes, LLC], and all recipients [originally cc’d on letter], in my selfish desire to accomplish three goals: 1) to tell you my family’s story on how we came about to buy a home from you; 2) to inform you of particular characteristics that impacted our overall home-buying experience, and; 3) to clearly establish my sentiments about your business.
Early in July of this year I was faced with a tough decision to accept or decline a significant promotion with my company. At the time, we were living in San Diego, California, and the job promotion would require me to move my family to the Portland, OR, or Vancouver, WA area. As you might have guessed, the offer for the promotion came with a very short deadline to make the decision being that I would have to be in place, and actively working by August 1st. Within hours of having been presented with the offer I searched the Web for housing availability, costs, and demographical statistics. I continued to assess the home market in the area and came across some of your listings. I emailed the contact person immediately. Later that afternoon I received a reply from Ms. Diane Wood that, in a very unselfish and inclusive tone, introduced her business partner Jaime Richardson as a contact in case she was out, and stated that Manor Homes was recognized as Clark County’s number 1 builder.
I immediately researched the Web again looking for information about your company to see if what I was reading could be confirmed. In fact, being a member of the local Building Industry Association, being named the “Best of Vancouver” by the US Local Business Association, and your customers’ testimonials gave me a sense of trust and security. I called Jaime to get a better feel of her personality and her sincerity. Being of Hispanic ethnicity, and having experienced unpleasant levels of service before, I wanted to make sure that Jaime would have an opportunity to hear my accent before I could be sure of her posture. After speaking with her for a few minutes, I was pleasantly surprised that she was genuine in her promises, accent or no accent! And after a short series of additional emails between Jaime Richardson and me, I felt that my biggest concerns, both the financial (buying a home) and logistical (moving into a home) could be overcome with your team’s help. Jaime was extremely effective at gaining my trust and in communicating your team’s willingness to be “flex-i-ble” as your website displays this term.
The experience shortly lived with both Diane and Jaime during those two days, and the magical information that we can now access via the internet, are significantly responsible for my ability to confidently accept my company’s promotion – and to feel assured that buying and moving into a new home would not be a problem. In essence, I may have declined the promotion if it hadn’t been for such expedient and professional attention from both Diane and Jaime – they made the difference. As John F. Kennedy once said “One person can make a difference and every person should try.” Please know that both Diane and Jaime were the catalyst that brought us here. They are the center our story on how my family and I came to Manor Homes.
Having accepted my promotion, I soon arranged for my wife and my loving sister-in-law to come visit the area, to gather relevant information, and to select a number of potential homes for us to deal with. Jaime was extremely accommodating during my wife’s and sister-in-law’s visit, drove them around, and showed them anything and everything that they wanted to see. My wife, who does not master the English language well, was delighted with Jaime’s demeanor and warm approach. To top things off, this visit happened during a Monday and a Tuesday, and later on I discovered that Jaime’s days off were Monday and Tuesday – but to this date, I get the impression that Jaime’s days off simply mean that she’s on-call to tend to our needs as we may experience them. This characteristic of “service” and the previously mentioned characteristic of “flexibility” are now beginning to reassure us that your team and your company are truly outstanding.
Jaime continued to provide exceptional customer service every step of our home-buying process. As we ended up selecting a home that was two months away from being finished, we had to find temporary accommodations for two months. During this time, we had the opportunity to meet Tim, your Project Superintendent. Tim’s focus, as one would expect, is on making things happen at the job site. One would think that his systematic mentality and his sense of urgency would make Tim appear cold or unfriendly, but he is exactly the opposite. Tim was receptive to our needs and concerns as the house was being built. He accepted our requests and never acted as if we were a burden – he always made an effort to comply. Tim displayed yet another characteristic that made our experience a memorable one – Tim was open to new ideas; Tim listened. During these two months, we continued to interact with Jaime on a regular basis, and we began to feel as if Jaime sort of adopted us. Her friendly gestures, her concern for my family, and her sharing of her family with us made us feel, well, like family (como familia). This is the fourth characteristic that played a huge role in our home-buying pleasure.
As the closing day approached, we find out that my documentation was incomplete with my lender due partly to some oversight and partly, I think, to the financial collapse that our nation experienced during September. Consequently, our closing date was risking postponement when plans had already been made to quit the temporary housing and the temporary storage at month’s end. In addition, we had family flying down to help us move and celebrate our new home and I had arranged to schedule my work’s travel demands in order to be here for the entire weekend. I was devastated to think that if we could not move that one weekend as planned, that the additional delays would not only cost me dearly financially, but more importantly, it would cost my family immense stress and disenchantment.
To this date, I don’t know how things were handled, but I know Jaime did not sit there and watched things happen; instead, she made them happen! She cared about us and she stood up for us – she advocated for our welfare! And in doing so, she recruited assistance from your Sales Director Michael Shanaberger who was instrumental at dealing with our lender in our support as well. The late influential management writer, Peter F. Ducker, once wrote that “management is doing things right; but leadership is doing the right things.” So I believe that Michael and Jaime did the right thing – and they got us to move in on the weekend we had all planned for. This adds two more characteristics that made things so manageable; Jaime advocated for us, and Michael took the leadership role to do the right thing for us!
Finally, we are now in our new home, and as we embark in a new phase of interactions with yet additional members of your staff to deal with the last few details, the humble feelings of thanksgiving, accomplishment, and satisfaction are amongst us. Please know that your firm, Manor Homes, has greatly impacted my family’s transition during this exciting, yet overwhelming phase in our lives. Your organization consists of an unselfish, flexible, service-oriented team of folks that treats customers like family; that listens to customer’s needs; that advocates for your customer’s welfare; and that practices the leadership to do the right thing. As I have experienced your staff’s sincere respect and appreciation for us as fellow Human Beings, I can only expect that this reflects your personal characteristics. While I have not had the privilege to meet any of you, I have met you through your team’s members. And as I have experienced the warm, caring and affectionate treatment that your team so favorably delivers, I can’t help but to admire each one of them, and you too, for fostering such a wholesome way to conduct business. Congratulations! And my most sincere gratitude for making us feel like family. Muchas Gracias y que Dios les Bendiga!!!”

Cooperation and enthusiasm made experience so very pleasant! —
“Our Manor home in Rowland Heights is absolutely the best ever! Everybody who was involved from the begining has made this experience so very pleasant; we actually feel that we have been your only customer with all of the cooperation and enthusiasm we received from Jamie, Diane, Tim and the many others we didn’t get the chance to meet personally.
Pam from Superfloors was very helpful in giving us great advice while working within our budget and decorating tastes. DeWils was great as well in answering our questions and delivering the appliances in a timely manner. The landscapers did a great job with our front and back yards from the lawns to the trees and shrubs. We like what was done.
What greatly impressed us was that no matter when we went to check on the progress of the house, the construction debris was always minimal and now that the house has been completed, we find it to be in immaculate condition.
Most of all, we want to thank Jamie, Diane and Tim who kept all the lines of communication between us and the various subcontractors open and flowing. They deserve and have our deepest gratitude and most heartfelt thanks.
Thank you for our beautiful home; we know we will have many happy years here.”

Our first home is everything we dreamed! —
“I just wanted to let you know, we are very happy in our home in Peach Tree Vista. It was a hard journey getting in, but all worth the wait, because of all of you at Manor Homes. You went the extra mile and even went out of your way to get us what we wanted, even if you didn’t need to. Our first home is everything we dreamed!
Thank you again, WE LOVE OUR HOME!”

First time home buyers find success —
“Buying our first time home was a stressful experience and Leslie made it easier for us. She listened and understood our needs. After looking for a home for over a year with several other realtors we were fortunate to find both Leslie and Manor Homes.
We love our new home and neighbors.”
Mary R, Farnsworth Heights
Moving away, but we will miss Manor Homes and our Neighbors —
“Ginger,
I just want to express one more time how much we appreciate you. I know in our society today sometimes people throw that type of sentiment out freely without any real meaning behind it. I hope you know that when I tell you on behalf of myself and my family that we appreciate, respect and thank you and Manor Homes it is from the bottom of our hearts.
We will miss being in our home, the neighbors and you in the days to come. When we were offered an opportunity to go and minister to others in Wisconsin for a time we really where not sure, but we thought we would give it a shot. Since then we are just shocked at how it has just all fallen in place. Just as you have been kind and generous to us we will go to Wisconsin and do the same for others. We will certainly keep our line of communication open with you. I am at your service anytime I can be, you just call or email.
Thanks Again,”
Chad W, Orchard Hill
The Manor Difference —
“You guys “get it”. That’s the difference. The teamwork, the lender closing costs, the price points, the quality, the flyers that you send out, that is what does it. I am always happy to sell your product. Keep it up!”

Realtor Complements Professionalism by Manor Employees —
“I would like to complement your company and its personnel for doing an excellent job on the recent closing of my clients home in the MeadowCharm division. It was longer than normal with changes that were a bit persnickety. It was handled extremely well by Melissa and Rondy. I can not tell you how much I appreciate their hard work and professionalism. I sincerely hope you will pass this on to them for me.
I currently have another client purchasing from another sub division and I’m very pleased with that also. Should I have clients seeking a new home in the future, Manor will be at the top of my list, period.”
Jerry Camelleri, Prudential NWP
Super Quick Warranty Response —
“Battleground glass came out – what an A #1 class act contractor. They are a great bunch of individuals. Mirror is set. We are great for now. Thank you for the super quick response to the little things on the list =) You and Manor homes have treated me very well and I greatly appreciate the extra support – especially this being my first home purchase. I would have no problem ever recommending Manor homes to any of my contacts.”
Steven A, Orchard Hill
We will take care of you! —
“My wife and I are very pleased with our home and the performance of Manor Homes as a builder. One phrase we heard over and over was “We will take care of you.” Many companies use buzz words that have little substance to them but Manor Homes truly lived those words for us. We thank you for all the wonderful tips given during our walk through that were very helpful. We happily recommend you to friends and fellow employees because we believe they will receive the same care that we received.”
Phil & Rhoda, Peachtree Meadows
Incredibly happy —
“I wanted to send you a quick note to tell you how incredibly happy my wife and I are with our new home. We are impressed with the both quality of construction and our location. To give an example of how centrally located we are, when we first moved in, I needed to pick something up at the mall and was in the parking lot, turning off my car, before the first song on my CD was finished. It’s amazing how close we are to just about everything we need. Thank you for providing such a great home for such an amazing value.”
Abraham, Orchard Hill
Beautiful new home —
“We had not planned to purchase a home when we did, we stumbled upon it one day while my fiancé and I were driving around looking at areas we would like to live “one day”. We came across a Manor Homes development where we met Melissa. She ended up being our “go-to” person through out the entire home buying experience.
Melissa helped us out with whatever we needed, she was the middleman in many situations, and a few times, she was the person that I vented to. She went above and beyond for us numerous times. There were times when she called me from her personal cell phone when she was already home for the night and she even helped me out when she was out of town. All throughout the home buying process, she was there for us.
I loved that we were able to pick out all of our flooring options, our fixtures, our counter tops, exterior paint colors, etc. I noticed that the options for carpet and fixtures in particular were much higher quality than other builders that we had considered. The homes were also more reasonable priced for what we got. The house ended up being exactly what we wanted. I love my large, open kitchen with tons of counter and cupboard space and I love the location.
Now that we are living in our beautiful new home, I will recommend Manor Homes to anyone who is planning on buying in the near future. Although there were a few bumps along the road, I think things turned out for the best.”
Ashley, Peachtree Meadows
Thank you for your help —
“Dear Melissa:
About three months ago I had the opportunity to assist you in the sale of your client’s home at 5312 NE 54th St. I worked with the selling agent and the buyer to obtain the best financing available at that time. I believe the transaction went very smoothly, and I recall that you deserved a lot of the credit.
I am interested in working with you again. I believe real estate is a win-win profession in which we all play a part in each other’s success.
You take pride in your work and always aspire to deliver the best possible service. For this reason, I feel comfortable referring clients to you when the opportunity arises and I hope that you will do the same.
I value your business and look forward to working with you again in the near future. If you have any questions, you can reach me at (503) 654-7369.”
Mark C. Aalto, Senior Loan Officer, First Pacific Mortgage
Happy 7-year old —
“The other places that have the houses are not as nice as this place because you give out food and hot chocolate.”
Shawn, age 7
Great Staff at Manor Homes! —
“I have to tell you what a pleasure it is doing business with the staff at Manor Homes! Melissa Feroglia was absolutely fabulous at walking through the process from beginning to end. Nothing was a problem to Melissa! When we did our walk through with Eric Christenson, I couldn’t have been more pleased. He was amazing at keeping a very particular client happy. Again, I hear the staff at Manor Homes saying over and over “not a problem, we can do that!!!” You can’t get any better than that with your fussiest of clients… bring them to Manor Homes!!”
