The tax credit has been extended and expanded to include repeat home buyers!
The $8,000 First-time Home Buyer Credit has been extended to April 30th (with some additional flexibility on closing dates and higher income limits for some dates), and now there’s also a $6,500 Move-up/Repeat Home Buyer Tax Credit for similar dates, as long as you’ve lived in your previous home for five consecutive years out of the last eight years. There are more details to these offers, so please consult your lender or tax advisor.
