Purchase Checklist

Thank you for choosing a Manor Home! The process of building your home will be an exciting one, with many decisions to be made. Your sales consultant will be available to answer your questions from your first home planning meeting to your final orientation walk-through. The following is a checklist to help you understand every step of the design and building process.

  1. Within TWO(2) days of your purchase you must contact Manor Homes Preferred Lender to set up your loan application appointment. This must be an in person appointment. Manor Homes must have a full approval by the lender in order to start your Home. This will be a full “credit approval” process and will require a credit check. Please be prepared for your meeting by gathering the final documentation for your loan officer. Within 30 days you must provide in writing your chosen lender or the seller has the right to terminate the sale.
  2. Within Five(5) days of your purchase, any allowable framing changes and permit specific options must be chosen. If you did not select these at the time of your purchase, your sales consultant will set an appointment for you to return and do so.
  3. Your sales consultant will provide your contact information to Kristi at Superfloors (360-696-1616) so that she may set an appointment with you to select your floors and countertops. These selections must be finalized within thirty days of the date on your purchase agreement.
  4. Any other options or color selections that you would like to add to your home (cabinets, plumbing, lighting, etc.) will be done with your sales consultant, and must be completed within Seven(7) days of the date on your purchase agreement.
  5. Your sales consultant will notify you when we are about to begin building your new home, and will set a time for you to meet the community superintendent who will be managing the construction. These meetings can be scheduled between 10am and 4pm, Monday through Friday. And must be done within 7 days of mutual acceptance of Purchase and Sales Agreement.
  6. If you have any questions regarding the construction of your home as it progresses, your sales consultant will be available to answer them. It is always best to present these questions in writing, by email if possible. Your sales consultant will be in weekly contact with you to update you on the progress of your home.
  7. Prior to sheetrock your home, you will be asked to meet again with your superintendent to verify the correct placement of all options. This will be a short meeting scheduled by your sales consultant, and again can only be scheduled for Monday through Friday. Your Sales Consultant will be able to provide you with your closing date at this time.
  8. You will need to provide evidence of an insurance policy for your new home (commonly called a binder) to your title officer at least a week before closing.
  9. Your sales consultant will call you to set an appointment for your final orientation walk-through with your community superintendent. Typically this will occur three days before you sign your loan papers at the Title Company.
  10. Your Title Officer will call you when your loan documents have arrived at the Title Company to schedule your signing appointment.
  11. You can expect to receive your keys about two days after you sign your loan documents. Your sales consultant will contact you when the loan has been funded and the home has been recorded in your name by Clark County. You will then be able to pick up the keys to your new home!
